Alice McKennis Alpine, World Cup downhill winner

Alice McKennis is a quick learner. Raised on a ranch in Colorado, Alice made her first turns at Sunlight Mountain Resort before the age of two, was ski racing at age five, and by fourteen had given up her equestrian pursuits to race full-time. She made the 2010 Olympics in her rookie World Cup season and, despite breaking her leg in 2011, was back in 2012 as part of the U.S. women’s alpine speed team that crushed the European competition. In 2013 she won her first World Cup downhill in St. Anton, Austria. Go Alice! When not on the slopes Alice loves riding horses and her mountain bike, fishing, camping, and listening to country music.
