Lindsey Jacobellis Snowboardcross, Olympic Silver Medalist, Seven time X Games Gold Medalist, World Cup Champion

Lindsey Jacobellis likes fashion, and collecting shoes, and glittery things—like gold medals. Perhaps that’s why she is the most decorated woman in the sport of snowboard cross, with 24 SBX World Cup wins, an Olympic silver medal, and a record seven X Games golds. Big brother “Benny” introduced “Lucky” Lindsey to riding when she was eleven, in the mountains of Vermont. A few years later, the Connecticut native moved to Vermont and enrolled at Stratton Mountain School, where she could ride every day. A regular on the circuit since 2003, Lindsey has dominated the sport, though back-to-back knee surgeries kept her sidelined for half of 2012 and all of 2013. Determination and many hours a day rehabbing at the U.S. Ski Team Center of Excellence ensure that she will be back in action for 2014. When she's not riding or training, Lindsey likes to hang out with friends and surf (especially in Fiji).

Sparkle Slouchy Hat

Lindsey's a knitter and loves to make cool hats like this one (but not bathing suits—that was a bad experiment!).

Off the Mountain

An avid knitter and animal lover, Lindsey brought the best of both worlds together with her own charity, Hats4Hounds. Her snowboarder hat kits are easy to follow and fun to make, and the best part - a portion of the proceeds from each kit sold goes toward the ASPCA to prevent animal cruelty by rescuing them from abuse, passing humane laws and sharing resources with shelters nationwide. Pick up one of her easy to follow kits and help support the cause in style!
