Maddie Bowman Halfpipe Skiing, Three time X Games Medalist

In 2012, Maddie Bowman had a pretty epic senior year in high school. After playing on the South Lake Tahoe High School girls’ state champion soccer team, she podiumed in nearly every major freeskiing event. She scored invitations to the Dew Tour and the X Games, taking home a gold and a silver, respectively, and finished the season by winning the AFP World Championship halfpipe event. Nice graduation present! In 2013 Maddie scored World Cup and X Games gold, showing she’s still riding the learning curve. Bowman’s ski racer parents got her on skis at two years of age, and she rocketed through all the ski programs at Sierra-at-Tahoe before falling in love with freeskiing. Off the hill, Maddie loves mountain biking, hiking, wakeboarding, backpacking, and, of course, beaching it. “I try to live a really active life and am easily bored when I have too much down time.”
